XQuest Archery offers archery instruction in group formats. All equipment is provided during lessons 

 

Registration is as easy as

Each participant will be asked to sign a waiver prior to participating in our lessons.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our classes. All of our coaches are fully certified and have more than 10 years of coaching experience each!

Each lesson is 1.5 hours in length and the class structure spans 5 weeks – that’s 7.5 hours of total lesson time. Compare that to the next largest facility in Ottawa and you’ll also discover an average savings of $4 per hour!

archery 101: foundations

(level 1)

Who can attend?

This 5-week introduction to archery course is for individuals who have never shot a bow, taken formal archery lessons or need a refresher on shot execution. Lessons are available to youth 10 and older and adults.

Parents of youth under the age of 12 are required to remain at the facility while their youth is engaged in programming.

 

Program Details

Range safety and etiquette are emphasized and the FUNdementals of target archery are covered. The new archer can focus on establishing a foundation on which to begin to build their knowledge and skill. Topics covered are:

  • Range safety and etiquette (first class is mandatory);
  • Eye dominance;
  • Stance (correct shooting posture);
  • Correct bow hand position; and
  • Facial reference.

Our courses as of Jan 2026 will be offered over 5 weeks with 1 1/2 hours of in class instruction and shooting per week.  That’s 7.5 hours of class time.

Come in and work with some of the top coaches in the country.

All equipment will be provided for course instruction. Those who wish to use their own equipment should check with the course instructor.

Course cancellation or transfers will be accepted up to 7 days in advance of the scheduled course date.  Refunds and transfers are subject to a $20 administration fee plus HST.

IMPORTANT
The first class of this course requires mandatory attendance as range safety is covered. Failure to attend will result in expulsion from the class and no refunds or transfers will be considered.

Parents/Guardians of youth under the age of 12 must remain in the facility during programming.

archery 101: foundations

(level 2)

Who can attend?

This 5-week course is for the individual who wishes to pursue archery and has completed the archery 101: foundations (level one) course.

Parents of youth under the age of 12 are required to remain at the facility while their youth is engaged in programming.

 

Program Details

Participants will be introduced to new skills as well as reinforcing the technical knowledge taught in the Learn to Shoot Level 1 course. Emphasis will be on building a consistent basic shot routine. Archers will also be introduced to a basic warm-up routine.

Our courses as of Jan 2026 will be offered over 5 weeks with 1 1/2 hours of in class instruction and shooting per week.  That’s 7.5 hours of class time.

Come in and work with some of the top coaches in the country.

All equipment will be provided for course instruction. Those who wish to use their own equipment should check with the course instructor.

Course cancellation or transfers will be accepted up to 7 days in advance of the scheduled course date.  Refunds and transfers are subject to a $20 administration fee plus HST.

archery 102: principles

(level 3)

Who can attend?

This course is the next stage in an archer’s development. Archers will be focusing on continuing to acquire and consolidate the skills introduced in the archery 101: foundations (level one & two) courses. Coaching will be on an individual basis during class sessions.

Parents of youth under the age of 12 are required to remain at the facility while their youth is engaged in programming.

 

Program Details

Participants will be introduced to new skills as well as reinforcing the technical knowledge taught in the Learn to Shoot Level 2 course. Emphasis will be on continuing to build a consistent basic shot routine.

In December, the Level 3 course will make a departure from the existing programming and will become a 2 hour session per week where archers will receive personalized instruction in skill development.  This course will only be offered on Thursdays from 6.00 to 8.00 P.

Our courses as of Jan 2026 will be offered over 5 weeks with 1 1/2 hours of in class instruction and shooting per week.  That’s 10 hours of class time.

Come in and work with some of the top coaches in the country.

All equipment will be provided for course instruction. Those who wish to use their own equipment should check with the course instructor.

Course cancellation or transfers will be accepted up to 7 days in advance of the scheduled course date.  Refunds and transfers are subject to a $20 administration fee plus HST.

Experience Archery Offerings

Who can attend?

Available to youth 10 years and older and adults.

Youth between the ages of 10 and 12 are required register with a parent or guardian for the event.

All equipment will be provided for course instruction. Those who wish to use their own equipment should check with the course instructor.

Program Details

Do you want to experience archery before you commit to lessons?  Have a fun and interesting date night?  Do something with the whole family?

Then our Experience Archery sessions are the choice for you.

We supply the equipment and the range safety officer and you have the fun.

Each session is one hour in length and are monitored by a certified range safety officer.

An overview of range safety and etiquette will be introduced before shooting.

Lesson Program Drop Ins & Equipment Rentals

Who can attend?

The drop in and equipment rental program is available to those currently enrolled in a level one, two, or three course OR anyone who has participated in a course within the past three months.

The duration of access exists from the start date of your most recent course and lasts for 90 days.

If you are having trouble accessing the program on the pro shop website, please first try logging in with the email you used to purchase your classes. If this still doesn’t work, please phone the shop during pro shop hours for assistance.

Program Details

We’ve heard you – you want more time to practice while you’re taking lessons – so we’re providing that opportunity through our lesson drop in and equipment rental program!

This program is a way to allow lesson participants to book time during open range hours. You can book an hour of time and rent our class equipment for use in practice outside of lessons programming.

This program is not a walk-in program and must be booked in advance. This is also not an opportunity for additional coaching, instead this is a time for individual practice.

The advantage to taking lessons is the discounted drop in & equipment rental! Truly.

CLUB MEMBERSHIPS

Who can attend?

Club membership are available to to adults who have completed the archery 101: foundations (level one) course or to youth who have completed the archery 101: foundation (level two) course.  An evaluation is required for those wishing to join the club who have not completed the required course(s) at XQuest Archery.
